Relief Dispenser

**Relief Pharmacy Dispenser 40 hours per week covering Croydon and South East**

Mileage is paid at 45p per mile.

**Principle Purpose: To assist the Pharmacist in developing the pharmacy business by ensuring the dispensary delivers a high level of customer service and operates effectively with regard to company policies and procedures.**

**Main duties and Responsibilities**:

- **Professionalism**:

- Ensure understanding and compliance with Day Lewis Standard Operating Procedures.
- Ensure all prescriptions are dispensed and endorsed accurately.
- Ensure the highest standards of professional service and care to our patients.
- Respect confidentiality of information concerning customers in accordance with the Data Protection Act.
- Complete all NHS/PCT paperwork accurately and on time.
- Ensure that locum pharmacists are briefed in and follow company dispensary procedures.
- Undertake the training required by the company to fulfil your role effectively, and ensure a high degree of professionalism.
- **Customer service**:

- Ensure a prompt and efficient dispensing service
- Deal with customer complaints and dispensing errors promptly and efficiently in accordance with company policy
- Develop and maintain good relationships with local surgeries and nursing homes
- **Housekeeping**:

- Ensure that the dispensary projects a professional image at all times
- Dispensary shelves to be clean, tidy, and well organised with special attention to risk management guidelines
- Ensure the floor is kept clean, and free from hazards, i.e. boxes
- **Stock Control**:

- Maximize profitability through effective stock ordering
- both from correct sources, and in the optimum quantities
- Ensure all orders are checked off accurately, and dispensary stock put out with care
- Ensure a date checking procedure is maintained and recorded

**Salary**: From £11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
- Overtime

**Experience**:

- Pharmacy: 3 years (required)
