**The Role**
We are seeking a **Japanese-speaking Trainee Accountant** to join our team in London. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and detail-oriented individual with at least **three years of practical experience** in an accounting department (either in the UK or Japan).
As a **Trainee Accountant**, you will gain hands-on experience in financial reporting and compliance while working closely with senior accountants. This role will suit someone looking to **advance their career in accounting** with the benefit of financing your **ACCA study**.
**Key Responsibilities**
- **Management accounts preparation** for clients
- **Payroll processing**, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- **VAT and Corporation Tax calculations** and submissions
- **Liaising with statutory auditors** and supporting audit processes
- **Supervising and coordinating junior staff**, ensuring work is completed accurately and efficiently
- Supporting **clients with general accounting queries** and financial reporting
- Assisting in the preparation of **year-end financial statements**
**Key Requirements**
To succeed in this role, you should have:
**At least 3 years of accounting experience** (either in Japan or the UK)
**Fluent Japanese reading and writing skills** (business level)
Strong **numerical and analytical skills**
Excellent **attention to detail and organisational skills**
Ability to **work independently** and **manage junior staff** effectively
A **self-motivated** and proactive approach to work
**Work Environment**
This is a **fully office-based role** at our location near **Old Street tube station**, providing an excellent opportunity for in-person training and professional development.
