**About the role**:
We are currently seeking an Associate Lecturer in Pathways to join our Foundation Learning department at The Bedford College Group**.**
As an Associate Lecturer, you play an important role in the success of our students through:
- ** Assessment & Progress Monitoring** - Develops schemes of work, assesses student progress against awarding body standards, and maintains accurate records and reports to support achievement and retention.
- ** Learning Environment & Behaviour Management** - Creates safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environments, promotes diversity awareness, and ensures student behaviour aligns with the Student Code of Conduct.
- ** Collaboration & Administration** - Works with tutors and support staff, contributes to course team meetings, and completes administrative tasks including registers, enrolments, and withdrawals in line with funding requirements.
- ** Compliance & Professional Development** - Upholds safeguarding, equality, and health and safety standards, and actively engages in training and development to enhance teaching practice and meet College expectations.
**About you**:
- **Qualifications & Subject Knowledge** - Holds a Level 3 qualification and GCSEs in Maths and English (A-C), with up-to-date expertise in their specialist area and experience delivering group learning to students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities.
- ** Experience & Inclusivity** - Proven success in training and assessing diverse learners, with a strong understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusive education practices.
- ** Skills & Professionalism** - Highly organised, deadline-driven, and committed to delivering high-quality learning experiences while promoting the College’s reputation and values (Student Focus, High Performance, Respect, Openness, Honesty).
- ** Communication & Collaboration** - Communicates confidently across formats, contributes positively to team dynamics, and builds respectful relationships with colleagues and students.

**What is an Associate?**
Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.

The Bedford College Group was formed in 2017 following the merger of Bedford College and Tresham College and is now the largest provider of education in the South East Midlands, with over 15,000 students passing through our doors each year.
