Viewings Officer

Positive Employment is currently recruiting for experienced Viewings Officer to work for our client based in Haringey area.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES BUT NOT LIMITED TO**:

- To arrange collection of keys Client's Housing Repairs Service so that appointment for property viewings can take place immediately for customers short-listed to view properties
- To meet customers at the property and show them around, clearly explaining that works are in progress and the potential for the property; providing accurate information to all households customers about the property and e amenities in the surrounding area.
- To identify and record any vulnerability or safeguarding issues identified at the viewing; making appropriate referrals as required.
- To submit the outcome of the viewings to Lettings Officers so that an offer of accommodation can be made. To advise Lettings Officers and Client’s Housing Repairs Service of any reasons for refusal and potential barriers to letting the property
- Prepare reports on barriers to letting a property providing evidence, ensuring that all complaints and enquiries are handled within required time-scales and that learning is feedback into the Council’s service
- Work collaboratively with Client’s Housing Repairs Service, Tenancy Management and other stakeholders to ensure that the property is suitable to view and of wider issues in the area
- Work with the Rehousing Team to ensure that any properties used for temporary accommodation is viewed quickly and the outcome advised
- Work with the Regeneration Team and the Neighbourhood Moves Coordinator to ensure that all new build properties are shown as early as possible with the outcome of viewings confirmed
- Actively engage with the wider services to promote and develop understanding of Client’s approach to the provision of housing and allocations
- Arrange for interpreting and translation service for customers when required
- **Personal Requirements**:_
- A responsible position in a housing/ tenancy sales environment.
- An awareness of occasions that require liaison with other public services (e.g. child protection, domestic abuse).
- Outstanding oral communication skills with an ability to listen and empathise with customers.
- An understanding of public policy issues affecting social housing.
- Ability to self-manage and work under pressure and deliver the work in a responsible and sensitive manner.
- Valid enhanced DBS on update service
- **Working Hours**_**:*_**09:00am - 17:15pm, Monday - Friday*_

**Salary**: £19.52 per hour
