**Role Overview**

As the Head of Human Resources (HR) at Team RH Fitness, you’ll be responsible for ensuring everyone at Team RH loves coming into work each day. This role plays a crucial role in the growth of the business as you will directly be responsible for instilling an incredible company culture in which people feel supported, driven and motivated. The Head of HR will lead the HR team, collaborate with senior management and work directly with the CEO.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Develop and implement HR strategies to achieve a thriving company culture, in which people feel supported, driven and motivated.
- Collaborate with senior management to understand business needs and translate them into effective HR initiatives.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and hire top talent across various roles and levels within the organisation.
- Create and lead initiatives to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and retention.
- Develop and implement performance management processes that facilitate goal setting, feedback, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Work with managers to address performance issues and provide guidance on performance improvement plans.
- Design and deliver training programs that promote skill development, career growth, and continuous learning for employees.
- Identify skill gaps and develop strategies to address them.
- Oversee the design and administration of competitive and equitable compensation and benefits programs.
- Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements related to employee compensation.
- Handle employee relations issues and conflict resolution, maintaining a fair and respectful work environment.
- Develop and enforce HR policies and procedures that comply with labour laws and regulations.
- Stay up-to-date with labour laws, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure HR compliance.
- Identify areas for growth and development within HR and implement strategies to improve them.
- Implement processes to monitor and enforce adherence to HR policies and legal requirements.
- Establish HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and programs.
- Provide regular reports and analysis to senior management on HR-related matters.
- Lead and inspire the HR team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
- Conduct performance evaluations, mentorship, and professional development for HR staff.

**Experience and Qualifications**
- Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with a track record of successful HR strategy development and execution in SMEs.
- Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, labour laws, and regulations.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in building an excellent internal company culture.
- High level of emotional intelligence and empathy.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Professional HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR, CIPD) are a bonus.

**Salary**: £65,000.00-£75,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

- Gateshead, Tyne and Wear: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
