Our regional client based in Gloucester is seeking a Payroll Manager, on a permanent, full-time basis.

The appointed Payroll Manager will oversee and co-ordinate monthly payroll for 1000+ employees.

The Payroll Manager will liaise with stakeholders, supporting the management accountant and wider finance team with finance admin.

**Responsibilities**:

- Coordinate and manage payroll documentation (inc. staff documents and management reports)
- Process data from the staff management system to ensure correct hours are paid on time
- Liaise with external payroll bureau to process monthly payroll and resolve queries
- Work with internal stakeholders for approval of payroll and ensure accuracy
- Produce management information and process accounting entries
- Book-keeping relating to sales ledger, banking and accounting journals
- Company credit card administration - reconciliation and posting of monthly spend
- Investigate variances and queries on behalf of the management accountant and other finance & non-finance staff

**Skills/ Experience**:

- Previous payroll (ideally large volume) and accounts admin experience
- AAT Level 3 or above
- ERP/accounting software proficiency
- General IT skills to include at least intermediate Excel
- Experience of systems and procedure development/improvement
- Excellent administration and data management skills
