This role pays between £29-£32k per annum.

The role will focus around using your communication skills enabling you to positively interact with both the work force and management team to ensure that H&S legislation and compliance is adhered to.

Assisting the EHSS Manager with all aspects of health safety and environmental control in line with health safety and environmental legislation.

**Description**

As EHSS Coordinator, you will:

- Review data inputted into OPUS reporting system and amended where necessary to ensure accurate output
- Support the site team in accident investigation, gathering witness statements and evidence, actioning any non-compliance, and providing information to put preventative measures in place
- Ensuring mandatory checks and inspections are carried out at required intervals
- Run monthly, quarterly, and annual reports as required by the business
- Schedule and administer health & safety and environmental training courses and manage health & safety and environmental training records
- Super-user and administrator for IHASCO and other online training platforms
- Raise purchase orders for the EHSS Team
- Monitor energy, water, packaging, and waste data, preparing reports as required
- Contact waste removal contractors for collections and control documentation
- Maintain near miss records and liaise with departmental managers regarding near miss reports and action close outs in their areas
- Support in the completion of risk assessments as required
- Support in SOP creation/ update as required
- Support in the delivery of health & safety briefings, toolbox talks and training as required
- Promote a positive health & safety and environmental sustainability culture within the organisation
- Take and produce minutes from health & safety meetings
- Through staff engagement support the Site Leadership in driving an improved health & safety culture
- Any other ad hoc EHSS duties as required

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

- Excellent communication and listening skills
- Good interpersonal skills
- Sound literacy and numeracy skills
- Good computer skills, including knowledge of: Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and SharePoint
- Ability to work well independently or as a team
- Adapts to change well and views it as an opportunity
- Attention to detail and a methodical approach
- NEBOSH qualification
