**The Opportunity**

We are seeking a home-based Asbestos Consultant, located in the North, Midlands and the South of England to join our expanding and highly successful consultancy team. The focus of this role is to undertake asbestos surveys, reviews, project management and consultancy services to our clients in the commercial sector. Applicants who have risk assessment experience and qualifications in other specialisms such as fire, water or general risk assessment will be especially welcome.

The work will mainly involve attending sites across the North, Midlands or South of England with further opportunities to extend this service provision within Europe and further afield if desired. Part of the week will be site-based and part at home working on reports and assisting clients; diaries are pre-planned in advance to support and assist work life balance.

**Competencies and Experience**

You will have:

- Relevant industry competence qualification(s) i.e. BOHS P402 (or equivalent) and BOHS P403 and P404 (or equivalent)
- Excellent working knowledge of asbestos surveying and regulations is required.
- Good report writing, IT and communication skills.

Desirable experience:

- Proficiency Certificate in Management of Asbestos in Buildings (BOHS P405).
- Proficiency Certificate in Refurbishment & Demolition Buildings Surveys (BOHS P402R).
- Ability to provide asbestos repair and removal project works specifications.
- Experience carrying out air-monitoring within the asbestos field.
- NEBOSH General Certificate / NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety or similar / water risk assessment qualification
- Other risk assessment qualifications and experience
