We are looking for a number of suitably experienced people to undertake social work assistant positions within County Durham.

The social work assistant works directly with young people and their families, under the guidance of a social worker, to support their parenting and family skills and to ensure that families stay together.

You should have knowledge of the challenges that modern families face, including mental health and substance misuse support needs, and know how to support them through those challenges.

Ideally you will have some experience or knowledge of the looked after children system and a Level 3 qualification in children and young people or a related topic would be an advantage.

At Blu tech you will receive weekly pay, accrue paid holiday and have a named consultant as your main point of contact.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time, Temporary contract

**Salary**: £14.17 per hour

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday

**Experience**:

- children's support work: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- driving licence and access to your own vehice (required)
- transferable DBS (preferred)
