Afternoon tea at The Ritz is an institution in itself and we are proud to be a member of the Tea Council's prestigious Tea Guild. Served in the spectacular Palm Court, the choice of several varieties of tea and a delicious menu combine to make for an unforgettable afternoon and serves over 400 covers per day.

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic individual to join our team within the Palm Court as a Commis Waiter/Waitress.

**RESPONSIBILITIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**
- Be knowledgeable with all of our menus within the Palm Court
- To deliver each first course, main and dessert to the station in order for the Chef de Rang/Head Waiters to serve hotel guests
- Mise en place; to be prepared after each service: jam pots, clotted cream, scones, pastry and sandwich plates
- To ensure cleanliness and readiness of Palm Court before and after each service
- To collect any relevant food items from the Kitchen before each service in a timely manner

**ENTRY REQUIREMENTS**
- Relevant experience in a 5* property is essential
- Excellent customer service skills
- Possess the ability to work under pressure and have strong organisational skills
- Good command of the English language, both spoken and written
- Display a polite and professional attitude to internal and external guests
