Overview / Responsibilities:
Wood is currently recruiting for a Quality Engineer with extensive experience in the oil and gas petrochemical industry.

The Quality advisor will provide support to ensure that quality activities are completed satisfactorily and in a timely manner.

Assists in the implementation, maintenance, monitoring and reporting on the status of quality management systems and activities, so that resulting actions are delivered effectively, and business risks are mitigated or prevented.
- Promote, review and challenge working practices and methods to enhance performance.
- Assist in the maintenance, documentation and deployment of the Wood quality management system
- Assist with the establishment of assurance schedules and support implementation of internal, external and extrinsic assurance activities
- Review of all job cards prior to production commencing to ensure client specification and/or international code requirements are captured within the scope of work and communicated effectively
- Review of client drawings to select suitable weld procedures to be utilised for the scope of work
- Create weld numbering systems for work scopes and produce weld maps for inclusion in MRB
- Ensuring the business has suitably qualified welders to carry out specific work scopes
- Effectively use deployed database to record non-conformities and improvement actions
- Maintain welder qualifications records and welder qualification matrix
- Assist Quality Manager with quality investigations when required
- Assist Quality Manager with internal/ external audits when required
- Liaise with Wood Technical Authorities and Client Quality Representatives as appropriate.
- Act as responsible welding Co-ordinator under the auspices of BS EN ISO 3834
- Assist with Quality reviews of Manufacturing record data book
- Support lessons learned and continuous improvement processes
- Assist implementation of local management reviews and reporting of metrics and KPI’s

Skills / Qualifications:
**Qualifications**:

- Diploma (or local equivalent) in quality or related discipline (desirable)
- Membership of CQI, ASQ or other country equivalent (desirable)
- Technically Qualified/Time served trades person
- Welding Inspection certificate to CSWIP 3.1 or equivalent from a recognised industry or national body (essential)
- Radiographic interpretation certificate (essential)
- Quality auditor qualification by recognised industry body (essential)

**Knowledge, **s**k**ill**s **a**nd **experience**:

- Previous Quality experience (preferably in Oil & Gas/Petrochemical Industry)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office
- High level of communication skills in both written and spoken format
