**Personal Assistant (Support Worker)**

**Balloch, West Dunbartonshire**

**16.5 hours per week**

**Shifts pattern will be approx. 2 days per week alternating on a**
**Thursday**
**, Friday and Sunday with every second Saturday**

Personal Assistants (Support Workers) have the most important role within ENABLE Scotland by making a positive difference every day to the lives of the people we support. No two days are the same for our Personal Assistants but what we can guarantee is that you will be supporting someone with a learning disability to achieve their goals and outcomes - whatever they may be

Each person we support has different support needs, so your role as Support Worker may include assisting them with various aspects of personal care, moving and handling or positive behavioural support whilst expanding their social networks and connections.

ENABLE Scotland creates a bespoke team around every individual we support, and our team of Personal Assistants work collaboratively to ensure the safety, wellbeing and aspirations of the people we support are met.

Let us introduce you to **Theo and Billy**

Theo loves going out bowling and out for long drives in his car, his support times are 12pm to 7pm and he enjoys going out to a variety of places and just being as generally active as possible. A typical day could be driving Theo in his car to Braehead to go bowling and lunch out Sadly, it’s not always possible Theo to enjoy what many people would consider these ‘simple pleasures’ without proper, dedicated support.

Billy has support on Saturdays so you would be required to work 12pm-5pm every second Saturday, Billy enjoys going out and about and loves trampolining and long walks

There is no support required with Medication or personal care both supports are for social support
