Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Assistant to join our team. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our culinary staff in meal preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen alongside the head chef. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience in the culinary industry.

**Duties**:

- Assist in food preparation, cooking, plating and serving dishes.
- Help with setting up workstations and gathering necessary ingredients and equipment
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines to ensure consistent quality of food
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, including washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, and taking out trash
- Assist the cook or chef with cooking tasks as needed
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards at all times
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient workflow

**Skills**:

- Basic knowledge of kitchen operations and meal preparation
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Knowledge of food safety practices and understanding of proper handling of ingredients
- Good communication skills to effectively work as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and willingness to assist in various kitchen duties

**Requirements**:

- Previous experience working in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Willingness to learn and take direction from senior kitchen staff
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, and holidays

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £8.18-£12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 12 - 20 per week
