**To provide enabling support for two male siblings aged 11 years old with a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD.

**Main Duties**:
We are looking to recruit a support worker/enabler to provide 1:2 support for two 11-year-old siblings.
The preference is for these siblings to be supported by one enabler to take them out together to access age-appropriate activities at the same time.
The boys have a diagnosis of Autism and ADHD, although they have different natures. One is a happy outgoing individual and the other possesses a humorous nature but can demonstrate a stubborn streak on occasions, and is a little more wary when separating from family. Both children enjoy bowling, swimming, trampolining and being active.
The right enabler will possess a willingness to engage in activities of an active nature and participate with them appropriately. The children have an awareness of risk and danger but as with all enabling support, the expectation is that the support worker/enabler will always keep them safe and away from any risks or danger.
There are no healthcare tasks associated with this role.
Car driver is essential due to the rural location of the young people and the driver must be insured for business use.
Hours 6 hours per week during all school holiday weeks, with some flexibility around which days of the week the support takes place.

**Rate of pay £11.91 per hour**:
Holiday entitlement is 5.6 weeks per year pro-rata.
Out-of-pocket expenses will be paid by employer in respect of activities.
Mileage will be paid in agreement with the employer.

**Person Specification**:
The successful applicant must:

- Have experience and a positive understanding of children with disabilities
- Have a genuine interest in working with young people with complex needs
- Be able to respond patiently, positively and sensitively to any changes in behaviour
- Have a high degree of initiative
- Be punctual and reliable as the young person cannot be left unsupervised
- Be flexible
- Have a happy, positive and caring nature
- Respect confidentiality

An Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS) is required, cost will be met by employer.
