The purpose of this role is to provide Project Management support for the business at both group and site level in Health and Safety, workplace layouts, Business Improvement, Engineering, and IT.
You’ll work closely with internal and external key stakeholders managing projects across the business, ensuring our sites adapts best in industry standards maximising efficiency, optimise production levels and driving operational excellence.

**Group Project Manager Responsibilities**:

- To support and develop a “safety-first” approach within our business.
- Ensure that everything we do fully complies with Barrett Steel Health and Safety, Quality, Environmental and Group policies, and all relevant legislative requirements.
- Project Management. Ensure that all projects are delivered in a safe manner, on cost and on time to the highest quality standards.
- Support Site Operations Teams to continually achieve and wherever possible exceed productivity, operating cost, customer service and quality target levels across the range of supply chain activities undertaken by the site.
- Create, support, and implement best practice, assisting sites with their vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve business performance.
- Support through team-working a culture of continuous improvement.
- Coach and train people in adapting best practice
- Contribute to overall business strategy.
- Maintain and recommend improvements as necessary to the condition and performance of site fabric and fixed assets, including formulating comprehensive plans for new investments and thereafter to ensure optimum financial returns.
- Lead and manage complete project lifecycle
- Achieve all KPI’s and help drive the business forward

**Group Project Manager Requirements**:

- Project Management experience in the steel or manufacturing industries, ideally with a Project Management qualification.
- Ability to add value, reduce costs and make business improvements.
- Ideally a knowledge and technical understanding of processes and manufacturing techniques.
- Excellent relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders and suppliers.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Results orientated with ability to plan and deliver against project deadlines.
- Commercially and financially astute with experience of managing budgets.
- Resilient, self-motivated, and able to work well under pressure.
- The ability to travel nationally and stay away from home as often as the role requires
- You will have the passion, drive, and confidence to work within the business in a collaborative, creative way.
