ASD SEN Teaching Assistant - Lambeth, South West London - Must be a Graduate with a keen interest in education to be considered

Are you a Psychology Graduate set on a career within Educational or Clinical Psychology?

Have you already had some form of experience, limited or not with ASD children and would love to spend the rest of this academic year deepening your skillset and working knowledge?

** ASD SEN Teaching Assistant position in Lambeth, South West London
** Long Term, Full-Time ASD SEN Teaching Assistant role at a popular primary
** Position starting September - Interview will be held via TEAMS ASAP
** £75-100 per day dependent on experience

As their ASD SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be tasked with working with a child in Year 3 who has ASD. This child is also on the looked after register and is classed as vulnerable which is why he is still attending school every day. As with most childrenwith special educational needs, he is known, when upset or frustrated to have the odd outburst but on the whole is a very sweet child who takes a while to build trust due to the trauma in his life. You will work under the direction of the super Special EducationNeeds Coordinator who will also introduce you to and get you involved with working the schools visiting Educational Psychologist

Are you going to be the passionate, resilient and confident ASD SEN Teaching Assistant that will do everything in your power to help him overcome his emotional and academic barriers to learning?

Having a strong theoretical understanding of ASD as a condition alongside some form of practical experience, voluntary or paid, is highly desirable for this post.
