We're working with a highly regarded UK200-listed law firm who are looking for a Risk & Compliance Officer to join their team in Chester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong AML and regulatory compliance experience, ideally gained within a law firm, to play a vital role in supporting the business and ensuring operational and regulatory excellence.

You'll be working closely with the Compliance Manager/MLRO, acting as a key point of contact for daily compliance and AML queries across the firm. This is a hands-on role suited to a confident and detail-oriented professional who enjoys problem-solving and collaborating across departments.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Responding to day-to-day AML and compliance queries including source of funds, GDPR, and firm policy
- Liaising with PI insurers and brokers to handle claims and notifications
- Recording complaints, data breaches and undertakings using the firm’s internal reporting systems
- Conducting regular compliance file reviews across fee-earning teams
- Coordinating and submitting annual returns for accreditations such as Lexcel, CQS and WIQs
- Supporting with file opening processes to ensure consistent compliance practices across the business
- Maintaining accurate regulatory records and liaising with the SRA and Law Society as required

**What we need from you**:

- Previous AML and regulatory compliance knowledge
- Strong source of funds experience is a must
- Previous experience in a busy compliance function, ideally within legal or financial services
- Able to commute to Chester on a full-time basis

Pay: £35,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
