**Are you a specialist in compensation looking to join a FTSE 100 organisation that is really making a difference?**

We are looking for an ambitious and knowledgable Compensation Manager to join our Global People and Culture team on a full-time, permanent basis.

Working as part of the Global Compensation team, you will play an integral role in managing all elements of compensation for over 30,000 US and UK based employees (excluding benefits). You’ll primarily be responsible for managing the annual, global pay and compensation process for managerial colleagues across the National Grid group. With a passion for continuous improvement, you’ll also support the on-going efforts to drive improvements and reduce the complexity in the core compensation processes.

This role has strong growth and development potential within the Reward team, and as well as working with other teams in HR and Employee services and you will benefit from exposure to the People and Culture Leadership team to showcase your expertise.

To succeed in, and more importantly enjoy this role, you’ll be a highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about reward, has experience administering the annual compensation process in SuccessFactors and is keen to have a long-term career in Reward.

**About you**:

- Broad compensation experience and/or similar relevant experience in data analysis, modeling and/or reporting
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
- Experience using SAP Success Factors for Compensation
- Exceptionally strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Well-developed interpersonal skill and track record of building and maintaining strong working relationships across business, operational and HR colleagues
- Strong written and verbal communication - in particular creating executive level presentations/papers
- High personal standards of excellence, commitment and integrity while maintaining confidential information.

**What we can offer you**:

- A competitive salary between £49,000 - £80,000 - dependent on experience and location
- A bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance
- A competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%
