**About the Role**
**Base Location**: Based out of our Oban depot, Argyll & Bute with role covering Western Scotland mainland and Western Isles
**Salary**: £30,272 - £35,194 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing
**Working Pattern**: Permanent | Full Time
The main objective of the role is to carry out all servicing & repair work on all SSE owned small & large Plant assets. The 1,000+ assets are located at both static & remote SSE locations. They are required to be maintained within agreed timescales and in-line with manufacturer recommended maintenance schedules. The role will act as the point of technical expertise and represent SSE Fleet Services. High standards of engineering maintenance skills will be required at all times together with excellent asset record keeping & customer service skills.
- Service & maintain a variety of large Plant vehicles within a dedicated region within the North team (Scotland).
- Work in a mobile role covering a territorial area incl Western mainland Scotland & Western Isles.
- Flexibility in travelling will be required.
- Work and contribute within a wider National team consisting of 16 Plant Fitters within the Fleet Services team (SSE Corporate) with positive customer engagement.
- Have the confidence and technical ability to work on your own initiative on a variety of large Plant equipment (incl but not limited to Mini-Diggers, Woodchippers, Plant trailers & small power tools).
**What do I need?**
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- City & Guilds Vehicle Engineering Parts 1, 2 & 3 qualification or time served Engineer.
- Previous experience of working in a mobile role.
- Ability to engage positively and proactively with regional servicing/maintenance requirements.
- Bring a positive can-do attitude to the wider Fleet Services team.
