Calling all **Support Workers** from Adult or Children's Residential, Are you looking for a new role that offers a competitive Salary and Job satisfaction?

**Pay rate starts from £11ph, sleep Ins paid at £50 per night, over time paid if woken.**

We have a some great opportunities with our well established company looking for Support Workers to join their team. This successful Children's Residential provider is located in Herne Bay in Kent.

**DRIVING LICENCE IS ESSENTIAL for this role.**

This a permanent role and is offering 38 hour contract, Full Flexibility required

Flexibility for Sleep In's Up to 2 per week - PAID EXTRA **£50** per Sleep In

**Full training will be provided.**

NVQ level 3 Children and young people Services or **Willing to Work towards.**

If you do not have Children residential experience but you have Adult experience and looking to change sectors.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- To maintain the development of positive childcare practice in keeping with the aims and objectives
- Personal care involved
- To provide a safe, warm and supportive environment for the young resident.
- To comply with company rules, policies and practices of the establishment and to respond to emergencies which may arise within the establishment.
- To develop a responsible attitude with residents with regard to the fabric, furnishings, equipment, supplies and services in/or to the establishment and to support them in all domestic aspects of both their own personal space and communal areas of the establishment.
- To foster and encourage, whenever appropriate contact between residents and their families.
- To promote and encourage learning by young people. Services and to work with young people on educational activities within the programmes of education devised by the Home
- To accompany the young people on outdoor activities when required.
- To carry out the duties of the post in a mature and responsible manner, seeking and receiving support as necessary.
- To physically intervene if a resident’s behaviour is dangerous to others or themselves, in accordance with procedural guidance of the establishment and relevant legislation.
- To attend relevant internal and external meetings/training as requested.
- To be responsible for the health and safety of self and others.
- To carry out any other appropriate duties requested by the RM and respective line manager.
- To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young adults responsible for (or come into contact with) in accordance with the Academy’s Safeguarding Policy & Procedures.
