**About** the Employer**:

Carer needed for a 22-year-old male who is severely physically and mentally disabled and relies on family and carers to address all his care needs.

He is Peg fed, and this must be monitored frequently in case of a blockage occurring. Due to his level of health and cognitive impairment needs he cannot be left on his own as he would not be able to summon assistance in an emergency day or night.

Parents are very supporting and will offer training to establish routine.

**Summary** of Duties**:
Some light domestic tasks such as wiping down areas used in the care of this young man.

To prepare for day centre and to drive to day centre, using mobility car, then, collect from day centre unless parent is doing.

Hoist with slings used for all transfers.

Two nights per month over-night stay to provide parents with break although this will not be expected until at least 3 months service to ensure parents and carer are confident with arrangement.

**The Person** They Are Looking For**:
Flexibility is needed due to complexity of health conditions, and this may mean additional hours are needed as and when.

Full driving licence is essential as the role requires you to drive the employer’s vehicle.
