Pilgrims Windmill lane are looking for a Heath, Safety and Environmental Officer to Join their Team.
The HSE Officer will:
Development and support role within the Meals Business Unit and direct support to the facility HSE Manager advising and coaching on Health Safety and Environment practices, compliance and governance.
As a business they would become a champion of Go for Zero HSE standards within the company and carry out regular inspections, supporting on KPI submissions, advise on risk, support and protect through security, project support, Environmental protection, and continual improvement of the site’s Safety culture and engagement.
Skills and Knowledge
- Experience in a FMCG Industry
- Understanding of HSE systems and enhancing site culture
- Experience in HSE/ Safety/ Environment
- Understanding of Audit standards and the ability to influence change through positive engagement.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels of site, external authorities and wider business leadership.
- Strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
- Natural coaching ability.
Qualifications:
- NEBOSH General Certificate, Level 3, equivalent qualification or experience level.
- IEMA Environmental Management Certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Entry Level Safety Qualification
- Essential (but can be working towards, or will complete as part of onboarding) (Based on Site complexity)
