An exciting opportunity has arisen with the Watford General Hospital Integrated Discharge Team for a Deputy Team Manager. Watford IDT is a busy, progressive team, supporting residents of Hertfordshire home from hospital as quickly and safely as possible.Watford IDT sits within the wider Herts Valleys Hospital Discharge Service supporting people home from acute hospitals, community hospitals and their post discharge follow up.

Key responsibilities of the Deputy Team Manager post include:

- Ensuring excellent practice within the team; compliance with relevant policies and procedures and an effective performance management approach to support the learning and development of the team.
- Managing the practice and performance of the team to ensure the timely and effective completion of discharges and reviews.
- To inspire, lead, manage and nurture a team of professionals (Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Community Care Officers) that can operate innovatively and creatively in order to meet the needs of Hertfordshire citizens.
- Building positive relationships with key system partners to maximise hospital flow.
- Effective management of resources and budgets and assurance of quality.
- Deputise for the Team Manager when required.
