We are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our client in Hamble, Southampton.

They are currently in a phase of rapid growth and expansion from both a people perspective and capital expenditure in their facility, and are currently have an opportunity for a manufacturing engineer to join their team.

Manufacturing Engineer Main Responsibilities:

- Manufacturing engineering support for new and existing processes
- Identify projects and opportunities for productivity improvement (e.g. yield, cost reduction, time reduction)
- Utilise lean and problem solving methodologies to drive continuous improvement
- Support development of operations by leading or facilitating process mapping, FMEA and control plans
- Support manufacturing team in production process flows, cell design and process optimisation
- Process validation of new and existing equipment
- Generate and maintain manufacturing support documentation such as SOP's, work instructions, maintenance, calibration and test procedures
- Generate and maintain ERP/SAP master data such as routings and work centres
- Tool, jig, fixture and gauge design for manufacturing

Manufacturing Engineer
- Skills, Qualifications & Experience:

- Degree or equivalent in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Materials Engineering or a related discipline is desirable
- Relevant experience in Manufacturing Engineering ideally within a high precision industry.
- Knowledge and experience of Continuous Improvement methodologies
- Experience in using ERP systems (e.g. ORACLE, SAP) would be beneficial
- Manufacturing tooling design experience
- Sound problem solving and trouble shooting skills
- Attention to detail and record keeping
