Nursery Cook

We are looking for a positive, friendly person to join our team as a nursery cook.

You will be responsible for shopping lists, stock rotation, cleaning of kitchen, speaking with environmental health, keeping allergy lists up to date and completing all paperwork in regard to the kitchen.

We can be flexible with times to an extent but looking at 9:30am - 1:30pm, 2 days a week which can be discussed at the interview as this will be to job share with the nursery cook. There will may be the opportunity for extra hours to cover the nursery cook's holidays or sick days.

You will:
load and unload the dishwasher twice a day

make and serve lunch

where possible prep evening tea

write shopping list

keep cooksafe folder up to date

keep kitchen clean / empty bins

keep allergy lists up to date

The children are very friendly and will stop at the door/gate to ask what you're doing and what's for lunch so must be happy to be involved talking to children.

Must hold a current elementary food hygiene certificate as minimum or be prepared to complete this before starting the position. Will also need a current PVG check.

Pay: £8.00-£12.21 per hour
