Send Behaviour Support Worker

Prospero Teaching is looking for an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant for a supportive SEND school in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.
The school is a popular supportive SEND unit with a strong senior leadership team. The school is going from strength to strength and providing training to all staff.
The position is open to experienced Teaching Assistant and people with a social care background who have worked with young people. Depending on performance the school would look at either extending the contract or offering a permanent position.
**CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS**
- Location - Barnsley, South Yorkshire
- Position - SEN TA
- Type of work - Working with Class Teacher and pupils, building and maintaining strong relationships and providing continuity.
- Contract or position start date - ASAP
- Duration / Likely Duration - Long term - Temp to Perm
- Contract or position end date (if applicable) - N/A
- Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) - Temporary
- Full time/part time - Full time
- Minimum rate of pay - Minimum rate £70 per day
- Hours - 8:30 am - 3:30pm : Mon - Fri (term time only)
**EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- QTS or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year education experience in the UK
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
**TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST**:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Provide two professional child related references that cover at least the last two years
**OTHER**
- Free, accredited continued professional development courses including safeguarding and behaviour management
