Refuse Collections Driver

Serco Workforce Solutions are looking for Casual Refuse Collections Class 2 Driver to join our team of essential key workers and help us make a positive difference to the environment we all live and work in

Serco’s Environmental Services provide a complete waste and recycling service on behalf of our residents and local communities. With a professional, dedicated, and friendly team, we ensure that streets, homes and businesses are kept clean, safe and tidy, whilst providing the very best levels of customer service to all members of the community that we serve.

You will be the public face of Serco’s Environmental Services team in the community. Our trucks are big and the first thing our customers see, and so, before setting out on your rounds, you will ensure that your vehicle safety checks are completed and that your truck is clean and work ready. Once those checks are completed, you and your team of Refuse Loaders will set off on your pre-planned route, collecting waste and recycling from residential homes and commercial properties.

What you'll need to do the role?

To be considered, all we ask is that you hold a valid HGV Class 2 driving licence (With no more than 6 points), Driver CPC, plenty of enthusiasm and a big smile, as well as being willing to help the Loaders whilst on your rounds to enable your team to complete the route within the service level agreement.

Previous experience of working with refuse collection and street cleansing is not essential, as we will provide any additional training you may need.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: From £13.86 per hour

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Sandwell, West Midlands: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Driving: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Class 2 Driving Qualification (preferred)
