If so, our client is a leading insurance business that is looking to appoint a specialist Commercial Underwriter to its team in Cardiff.
The role is within a small, yet supportive, team that work well together to ensure that clients receive the best possible service. Your main duties will be:
- Quoting of risks, via online systems, as well as manually underwriting where it falls outside the system requirements.
- Liaising with, and building, relationships with brokers across the country.
- Accurate quoting and being full transparency of new business and renewal premiums/ terms.
- Dealing with renewals and the negotiation process that is intertwined with this part of the policy lifecycle.
- All administration duties, including ensuring accurate information is recorded on Acturis.
To be considered for this role, you must have previous experience within the insurance sector, ideally within Motor. However, individuals from other Personal or Commercial backgrounds may be considered. A lot of your time will be spent on the phone, thereforeyou must be both comfortable with this and have strong communication skills. Ideally you will have used Acturis, although not essential.
