**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced and driven **Senior Town Planner** to join our team at EG on the move. Reporting directly to the Director of Development, you will take ownership of a diverse portfolio of sites, focusing on securing planning consents for a range of exciting projects, including new roadside services and mixed-use developments.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary consultants, managing the planning process from inception to approval and overseeing post-planning requirements. **What you’ll do**:

- Research and analyse planning policies and the planning history of individual projects to inform documentation and proposals.
- Liaising with the Acquisitions team directly and coordinating with PMs for planning review
- Manage high level relationships with developers, and other stakeholders.
- Negotiating commercial terms on s.106 agreements, instructing solicitors and managing to a success and speedy close
- Consultant Framework reviews
- Participating in review meetings with consultant team and PMs as required
- Review draft planning conditions and advise PMs of technical planning matters
- Submission and management of Condition Discharge - Highway Manager and Project Manager to feed in required work packages
- Enforcement - In house management
- Appeals - management of appeal process
- Coach and develop the Graduate Planner to maximise their performance

**What we are looking for**:

- Experience as a Town Planner, ideally within a planning consultancy or similar environment.
- Strong ability to access reports, maps and environmental impact studies.
- Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI)
- A strong understanding of UK planning legislation
- Proven track record of managing multiple projects
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
