**We currently have a fixed term post available in the Early Years Inclusion Service**:
**EARLY YEARS AREA SENCO**

**SALARY: Scale PO1**

**ALL YEAR ROUND - 35 hours per week (2-year fixed term contract)**

We are looking for an Area SENCo for a designated cluster of private, voluntary and independent early years settings and child-minders providing support in the early identification of children with SEND.

The post holder would also be required to provide indirect support for a caseload of children with complex special educational needs to enable these children to attend mainstream early years provision while their needs are assessed and after a comprehensive consultation, collaborative planning with the child’s parents/ carers, early years practitioners and other professionals.

The post requires working alongside team members to deliver SEND training through the Special Needs training programme. The Early Years Inclusion Service includes Early Years Area SENCo’s (Targeted and Specialist), SEND Early Years keyworker other professionals who offer a supporting role.

You would be travelling across the Borough; the main office is based in Thamesmead, and it would be an advantage to be a car user.
- Please note that this role is currently based at King's Park Campus, Eltham SE9 5LX, but will be relocating to Discovery School, Thamesmead SE28 0JN, from July 2025._
