**Marks Consulting Partners are currently looking for a Contracts Officer to work with one of our Local Authority clients in Kent.** **What the job will be doing** - Contracts officer / manager with JCT experience and M&E back background as the dozen or so contracts they will be managing and putting together will be in this field. - To work in conjunction with other Contracts Officers in the team to take lead responsibility for the services’ externally commissioned contracts. - To manage and motivate contractors to achieve performance targets contributing to corporate objectives and meeting customer and corporate needs. - To work closely with other council services to develop and nurture a "one team" approach to the delivery of contract management across the whole council estate. - To be responsible for the management of key contracts allocated within the team, including budgetary control, development of delivery plans, and analysing contract performance to ensure continuous improvement including providing efficiencies and best valuefor the Council. - Deliver procurement efficiencies and value for money, using technical expertise to inform specification writing, scope of works, etc. - Ensure that all works and services are properly and legally procured by correctly interpreting council Standing Orders, legal and statutory and European procurement rules. - To manage and motivate contractors to achieve performance targets contributing to corporate objectives and meeting customer and corporate needs. **How to Apply** If you would like any further details about this position, please contact Liam at Marks Consulting Partners.
