**Full Time Apprentice Joiner/Carpenter Level 2**

We are currently seeking 1 x full time Level 2 Apprentice Joiner/Carpenter.

The successful applicant will be required to work as part of a team providing a range of joinery and carpentry activities to new build houses, barn conversions, house extensions and renovations on behalf of private clients located mainly in south west Northumberland/Tynedale.

Initially the role will last approx. 2 years and you will have the opportunity to progress on to Level 3. You will work alongside highly skilled tradespeople on busy construction sites.

Successful applicants will be expected to start the role immediately, and enrol in college to start in September 2025.

**Role to include**:

- All aspects of joinery and carpentry to a high standard
- First and second fix joinery
- Installing building components (door and window frames, wooden floors, casings, skirting boards, fitting doors, kitchens, staircases etc.)
- Measuring and cutting materials
- Restoration and maintenance work
- Labouring and other associated duties as required

**Essential requirements**:

- GCSEs at grade 4 or above in English and maths
- A keen interest in construction
- Good practical skills
- Punctual
- Ability to use own initiative
- Attention to detail
- Own transport and driving license

During term time you are expected to be on site 4 days per week 8:00am - 4:30pm and attend college one day per week. During the holidays you are expected to be on site 5 days per week 8:00am - 4:30pm, Monday to Friday. You will need your own transport to get to site.

Pay will be at the statutory minimum apprentice wage but successful completion of the apprenticeship may lead on to a full-time position at good rates of pay. You will be entitled to 28 days holiday per year.
