**Role summary**
We are looking for someone energetic and enthusiastic to lead our Activities, Lifestyle and Wellbeing Team, to ensure that our residents are offered engaging and stimulating experiences that are based around their specific needs and preferences.
You’ll help to create a stimulating environment that enables us to deliver exceptional all-round care and support for our residents.
You will be computer literate and able to work closely with our community engagement team to create community links and showcase our Home, you will also be responsible for updating the Home's social media platforms.
You’ll help to devise imaginative, fun and motivational activities that suit every interest and ability. An extremely rewarding role, part of your time as an Activities, Lifestyle and Wellbeing Lead will be spent getting to know our residents and their families before you create tailored activities programmes focused on maximising everyone’s wellbeing, independence and social engagement.
**Responsibilities**
- Responsible for planning the activities and wellbeing schedule and agreeing it in advance with the Home Manager. The schedule must reflect the needs and interests of the residents that we are looking after.
- Ensuring that the Activities, Lifestyle and Wellbeing function in the Home is a 7 day a week service.
- Activities should be focussed on group engagements but also on one-to-one quality time, as some of our residents may not wish join in group interactions.
- Ensure the emotional, social, physical, and intellectual needs of the residents are listened to and met.
- Motivate the care team to understand that everyone should be taking part in meaningful engagement and activities with the residents and contribute to the caring culture of the Home.
- All engagements must be recorded in each individual’s care plan so we can evidence the work that we do.
**ABOUT YOU**
**Preferred experience**
- Experience of working in Activities/Wellbeing in a care home environment is essential
- Experience and training in working with vulnerable adults with dementia would also be extremely advantageous.
- Experience of leading a team and planning rotas would be advantageous.

- You’ll need to be warm, empathetic and personable to join us as an Activities, Lifestyle and Wellbeing Lead. Your organisational skills and driven mind-set mean you always get things done and make things happen. Meanwhile, your infectious enthusiasm and creative approach will inspire our residents and staff to get involved in activities both within the Home and in the local community.
- You must be a caring person who wants to work in an environment centred around supporting vulnerable adults.
- Be an active and helpful member of the team, attend training sessions and ensure that the Care Home is a friendly and supportive working environment.
- Excellent communicator
- Show an empathetic, warm and cheerful personality.
- Ability to put creative ideas into practice.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
