**About the Home**:
It's a 50-bed facility for residents who require nursing or personal care in North Shields; this can include elderly care for those with dementia, disorders or injuries. As well as delivering excellent residential, nursing and dementia care, the care home is also home to a self contained nursing environment specifically designed to support those who may benefit from living in a male only setting.

**The home**:
Care Home in New Milton, Hampshire offers 24/7 residential care, elderly care, end of life care, respite care and general nursing care, as well as dementia care.

**Qualifications/Requirements for the job**:

- Strong communication skills
- Ability to follow care plans effectively,
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
- Experience in providing care in a home care setting
- Proficiency in English and basic IT skills
- Prior experience in a care home environment
- Team player
- Ability to work on own initiative

**Responsabilities include**:

- Ensure the highest possible levels of care are maintained by supporting and assisting Residents when required with all aspects of daily living
- Assist Residents in all aspects of their care needs, e.g. physical, emotional and spiritual
- Provide supervision and attention when needed, ensuring Residents retain their comfort and dignity
- Observe care planning needs for Residents and completed daily records as instructed
- Assist in framework of social activities by interacting with Residents and helping them continue with hobbies and activities in the Care Centre
- Answer Nurse Call system, giving assistance as required
- Answer the door and telephone appropriately
- Respond accordingly, and pass on messages promptly
- Report on well-being of Residents
- Clean and maintain equipment used by Residents and Relatives e.g. wheelchairs, hearing aids, spectacles etc

Pay: £11.44-£11.75 per hour
