**Role Details**:

- Support the warehouse Night Manager in the day to day running of Enfield warehouse
- Ensure operational plans are delivered to meet set objectives
- Liaise with Warehouse manager and other supervisors in respect of all operational matters
- Ensures the safety of staff, equipment and facilities in accordance with group local and standards. Promote and develop a safety culture within Enfield warehouse to continually raise awareness and motivate safe behaviours
- Ensure continuous communication with all warehouse staff, and Headlam senior management team
- Take responsibility for staff issues on a day to day basis, including disciplinary issues
- Motivate’ coach and mentor all subordinates with Job responsibilities
- Manage staff’s performance issues
- Manage conflict
- Control holidays ensuring no adverse costs incurred due to agreed holiday levels being exceeded
- Ensure all SOP’s are followed and up to date
- Ensure the highest standards of warehouse housekeeping are adhered to at all times
- Ensure all SSOW are followed by all staff members and are available to read
- Ensure all vehicles/Vans are loaded within the set SLA
- Ensure all training records are kept up to date
- Ensure that all written and verbal correspondence (including Investigation Reports) are performed within the prescribed timeframes and to a high standard
- Create a positive working environment in conjunction with the HR Inclusion and Respect at Work Policy and all Equality and Diversity legislation
- Ensure PPE is worn at all times
- Prompt accident reporting and completion of the accident book and initial accident report
- Assist in verbal daily briefs of operational warehouse performance
- Ensure the companies absent management policy is adhered to at all time
- Ensure all absences are correctly and accurately recorded onto the time and attendance log
- Carry out all RTW interviews within 4 hours of the individual’s return to work and inform of follow up meetings accordingly thus actively reducing staff absence

**Requirements**:

- FLT licence (essential)
