**Patient services Team Member**

We are a practice of 7500 patients situated in the Boughton Heath area of Chester. We have a clinical team of GPs, ANPs and Practice Nurses delivering high quality health care. The practice is one of four in the Chester East Primary Care Network (PCN). We work closely with our PCN colleagues and are further developing our workforce as a group. The PCN has recently employed a team of Care coordinators, clinical pharmacists, and a Pharmacy Technician. We also have Mental Health and Social Prescribing Link workers.

We are currently seeking a reliable, resilient, hard-working and organised Part-Time employee to join our Patient services team for 30 hours per week. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a healthcare setting and is looking to make a positive difference in the local community.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
- Answering phone calls and handling patient inquiries efficiently
- Booking and managing patient appointments using the practice’s electronic system
- Completing daily patient tasks
- Filing of results
- Processing repeat prescriptions and dealing with medication queries
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring accurate data entry
- Assisting in the smooth running of the practice by supporting clinical and non-clinical staff
- Liaising with medical staff and external services as required
- Always adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies

**What We’re Looking For**:  
- Previous experience in a reception or administrative role (experience within the NHS or healthcare is desirable but not essential)
- Excellent communication skills both face-to-face and over the phone
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
- Proficiency in IT systems (previous experience using GP software such as EMIS, SystmOne, or Vision would be advantageous)
- A positive and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently
- Flexible approach to work hours and tasks as needed

**Working Hours**:

- Shifts may vary between 07:45 - 18:30
