**People Adviser**

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced People Adviser to join our growing HR Team. This is a new role to support the team deliver its ambitious People Plan which underpins the Firm’s vision of being the first choice in Scotland as a place to work and our purpose of helping our teams achieve their potential.

**The Role**:
As the People Adviser you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our People Plan is successfully implemented. You will work closely with team members and Heads of Department to provide straightforward advice and guidance on people related matters. You will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, guidelines, handling employee relations issues, and ensuring compliance with employment legislation. You will support the Head of HR by initiating, leading, and executing various key projects (performance management, wellbeing and inclusion and diversity initiatives) to set deadlines. You will also have the opportunity to continue to expand your skills and knowledge by assisting the Head of HR with growing and delivering our outsourced HR service to clients.

**What you will ideally bring to the role**:

- Credible and trusted HR Officer/People Adviser with strong generalist background (essential)
- Experience within a professional services environment desirable but not essential
- Proven experience of dealing with employee relations issues - absence management, capability and conduct issues.
- Ability to forge strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Highly motivated, results driven, with strong project management skills.
- Curiosity, willingness to put forward ideas, and positive attitude.
- Excellent written and verbal skills.
- CIPD Level 5 qualification (or equivalent experience)
- Up-to-date knowledge of Employment Law, HR trends and practices
