We are looking for Laundry Assistants to join our Peak District holiday cottage management business based in Sheffield, providing maternity cover and servicing our expanding customer base.

Ideally you will have experience working in a commercial laundry servicing multiple customers, but if you have strong skills in business administration we can provide the training on the practical side of the job.

You need to be available to work flexible shifts which will include weekends and Bank Holidays especially during the Summer time and around school holidays - in fact whenever guests need us to prepare a cottage for them. A full, clean UK driving licence is important.

**The role includes**:
Running the laundry - either alone or with one other person
- sorting laundry; identifying stained and damaged items and dealing with them; loading and unloading commercial washers & dryers; hand folding cleaned linen and towels; operating rotary irons; packing clean linens and towels;
Maintenance of the working environment both for safety and comfort; and

Maintaining accurate records both on paper and digitally.

We are looking for someone with physical stamina, who is highly organised & focused, combined with patience dealing with fiddly items and a great eye for detail.

**Qualifications**:

- Previous experience in a hotel or laundry environment
- Strong attention to detail in laundry operations
- Ability to operate pressing machines and laundry equipment
- Excellent organizational skills for managing laundry tasks
- Knowledge of fabric care and stain removal techniques

OR without direct laundry experience
- Experience of record-keeping, audit, and business administration in work or education & a ability to learn the practical side of the work quickly
- Valid driving license to facilitate transportation of laundry items

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Temporary

Pay: £12.21-£13.90 per hour
