**CONTRACTS ENGINEERING MANAGER RAIL.**

The CEM isn’t just required for the track monitoring. During the course of the works the CEM will be pivitol in ensuring the works progress to programme and in a safe manner.

Designs and temp works will be required throughout the course of the scheme and RAMs will need to be written and approved. To maintain TfW confidence, if RAMs don’t need to be approved by TfW, they will still want to see them approved by the CREs and CEM.The Guys on site haven’t worked as CREs previously and will require continued support. A CEM really is required due to how close we are to the Infrastructure (Not just the track)

**Personal Qualities and Experience**:

- Knowledge and experience of Network Rail design process;
- Previous experience of the IDC / IDR process;
- Application of value engineering processes;
- Strong team worker and experience of collaborative/partnering working arrangements;
- Understanding of electronic document management systems and their importance;
- Attention to detail;
- Experience of temporary work design;
- Ideally IEng, CEng or working towards;
- Membership of professional body;
- Report weekly to CEM on design progress and critical issues;
- Chair regular design progress meetings.

**START DATE**

MAY

**RATE**

Up to £600 a day Freelance depending on experience.

Between £65k - £85k perm depending on experience.
