Are you a skilled and experienced practitioner looking to join a passionate and dedicated team?
Our Mental Health Liaison team based at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital (NNUH), Norwich is looking to recruit a Mental Health Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker to join their fantastic team.
Our vital service operates 24/7, 365 days of the year to support those attending the NNUH with new or ongoing mental health difficulties and illness; to identify their needs, ensuring these are met effectively whilst in hospital and to contribute towards timely/supportive discharge planning.
You will be expected to work a shift pattern comprising long days and nights.
If you are motivated, compassionate, a good team player and keen to make a difference to the lives of youth (16+), adults and older people experiencing mental health crisis with both functional and organic presentations then we want to hear from you.
We’re looking for people who enjoy working in fast paced and busy environment, forging excellent working relationships with other health professionals within the hospital and beyond.
A flexible ‘can do’ attitude, with a willingness to build links with acute hospital colleagues is essential to ensure that a proactive interface is created between mental health and acute services.
From working alongside colleagues in the A&E department, to in-reaching to the wards, you will work across the NNUH supporting individuals presenting to the acute hospital with mental health issues.
We’re looking for individuals who want to grow and develop their knowledge and skills by working closely with colleagues, sharing experience and knowledge to continually learn from each other.
You’ll have experience, particularly in areas of acute mental health and risk management and older adults’ mental health.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like a new challenge with variety where no two days will be the same.
Here at NSFT we pride ourselves on being a welcoming, talented, friendly and supportive team who like nothing better than sharing experiences and learning from each other. In addition to ongoing training and development opportunities, we are committed to providing an environment in which you can thrive.
Why work for us? We have challenges as a Trust, but we have ambitious aspirations, are pushing ahead with exciting transformation work and we need dedicated individuals to support us on our journey.
