Research and Support Officer with Corra Foundation

The Research and Support Officer will provide integral support for the research phase of Participatory Scotland, specifically within Kirkcaldy and Renfrewshire.
Corra are taking inspiration from the **_Everyone Everyday Project in Barking and Dagenham_** and **_Participatory Canada_** and part of the Research and Support Officer’s responsibility will be to see how this project will operate in Scotland.
This will consist of organising events in different community venues and in an exciting and interactive ‘pop-up shop’ in central Paisley. The primary function of these events will be to learn how people are participating in their local community and what skills, ideas and interests they have.
Your responsibility will be to understand and record your findings. Following the events, you will collate that information to help guide the rest of the project.
You will be in regular contact with local residents, partner organisations and suppliers. You will need to be flexible and provide support for other aspects of Corra as and when required.
The main responsibilities of the role are outlined below:
- Research Support
- Develop meaningful conversations with stakeholders on the adaptation of the project (residents, organisational leads, business and key service providers)
- Support the research processes and to explain this to different stakeholders
- Engage people in the research space and encourage their interaction with the research questions
- Support with drawing research themes and ideas from research process into a final plan
- Logistics and Planning
- Support the National Programme Manager with the planning and logistics of setting up the research space and adapting it
- Provide an overview of logistics for specific stakeholder events and carry out any booking and administrative tasks, including the use of Eventbrite
- Use ongoing analysis of responses given in the research space to identify and reach other stakeholder groups
- Upkeep a Stakeholder list to ensure discussions have been had with a range of people and include a range of perspectives
- Tailoring each event to those most likely to be attending
- Communications
- Work with External Relations to develop a digital presence for ‘Every One Every Day’, across Corra’s website and social media
- Work with communities and External Relations to produce and disseminate research reports and any other publications

**Location**
This role will be based at Riverside House, Gorgie Road, Edinburgh or Pentagon House, Washington Lane, Glasgow, with a flexible approach to carrying out an element of work from home. It will require a regular travel throughout Scotland. 2-3 days of your week will involve travelling to workshops within Kirkcaldy and Renfrewshire.
