**The Role**

**Project Leader (Transverse Boards Team)**

**If the sound of leading on global projects, working with multinational teams, from formulation through to plant trial stages, gets you excited, then this could be for you**

**Through a mix of hands on lab work, and being office based when necessary, we're looking for a Project Leader to manage the day-to-day delivery of projects, coordinate and delegate tasks where necessary, and manage global stakeholders.**

You'll be working **for British Gypsum in East Leake**. British Gypsum is one of more than 30 exciting Saint-Gobain brands in the UK and the is the UK's leading manufacturer of interior lining systems.

**What will I be doing in the role?**

Our Project Leaders are really important to our success and a critical part of our customer's positive experience with us. In this role you will;
- Drive H&S activities, and promote a safe and sustainable environment
- Lead on projects, and coordinate accordingly (including both tasks and people) and develop problem solving abilities to find customer centric and innovative solutions, delivering new products, manufactured quality, creative contradictions or technologydevelopments.
- Engage frequently with customers of all types, capture and translate their needs, identify problems and propose solutions through to industrialisation.
- Stakeholder management globally; marketing, production, IP, general management, R&D teams, purchasing and external suppliers
- NPD and existing product improvements
- Research projects/knowledge gathering
- Promote EHS obligations, identify improvement opportunities and complete safety plan requirements

- Experience coordinating and managing R&D or technical development projects
- Research, development and laboratory experience. Experience with raw materials, recipe and formulation development would be advantageous
- Excellent communications skills (you will be working with stakeholders globally, so it's vital you have openness, awareness and understanding of different cultures)
- A positive and proactive attitude towards EHS in all activities
- Open to occasional international travel
