**Collections and Delivery Driver - Marabout, Dorchester**

**Retail Salary Scale: £10.25 per hour**
**35 or 21 hours per week**

**We’re looking for a friendly, reliable and engaging driver to collect furniture and other heavy goods from our lovely donors in Dorchester and safely deliver these to our Dorchester Outlet for purchase.**

As Collections and Delivery Driver you will undertake assessing quality of retail goods for resale value, collections and deliveries of retail goods as scheduled, ensuring stock is loaded and unloaded safely and in line with procedures, whilst maintaining good relations with the general public.

You will need to have excellent customer service skills, ability to prioritise a range of tasks, be a great team player and have good geographical knowledge of the local area.

Knowledge of relevant Health and Safety requirements to commercial driving and manual handling would be desirable but full training will be provided.

You’ll need to be confident around a goods van, both in driving, parking, carrying out regular safety checks, ensuring it is roadworthy, clean and maintained in line with health and safety standards.

Possession of a valid Driver’s license is essential for the role including previous experience of driving for commercial purposes, ideally with a retail, distribution or logistics environment.

This care is given in the comfort of patients own homes, via Day Services across the county and at our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester. All care is provided free of charge. We need to raise £18,000 a day, which comes from the support of the local community, legacies, and our chain of charity shops in Dorset.
