The Growth Company have an exciting new opportunity for a Finance Assistant to join the Finance team to carry out transaction processing activities across accounts payable, cash & bank and debt collection for credit control whilst ensuring the integrity and completeness of data that is input to manual and computerised systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure invoices are recorded promptly, accurately and on the correct purchase ledger account.
- Pro-actively manage and resolve queries with internal and external customers/suppliers to ensure invoices are paid within agreed payment terms.
- Actively promote and ensure the Corporate P2P process is understood and strictly adhered to by all stakeholders.
- Carry out root cause analysis and find appropriate solutions to reduce the number of reoccurring issues.
- Upload bank statements daily into Unit 4, processing receipt and payment related transactions promptly and accurately onto the correct ledger.
- Manage the changes to supplier master data records.
- Collect debts within assigned credit terms and achievement of individual & department targets, while keeping of meticulous records and review date.
- Record and manage customer/supplier queries and disputed invoices, liaising with internal customers to ensure invoices are paid within agreed payment terms.
- Carry out regular reconciliations of supplier statement to the purchase ledger with appropriate actions to resolve unpaid invoices
About you:
- Will have worked in a busy accounts department with responsibility for processing accounts payable/receivable, credit control chasing alongside experience of financial banking and payment software including Bankline and PTX.
- Accounting principles, working with a computerised accounting package.
- Organised, flexible, strong personal communicator, good team player.
**Skills**:
- A solid foundation of practical experience working within a financial environment, with in depth knowledge of accounts payable/receivable.
- Accuracy, knowledge of excel spreadsheets and Unit 4, ability to work to tight deadlines, excellent customer service skills.
