**Reporting to**: Project Development Manager

**Main Purpose of Job**:
To co-lead an approach of co-production that ensures communities and citizens are at the heart of the design, delivery and evaluation of mental health services and activities.

To develop and embed a culture of continuous stakeholder engagement that is inclusive and drives empowerment and collective decision-making in a structured and coordinated way.

To establish mechanisms for involvement which reflects best practice in co-production, co-design and asset based/strengths based working.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
- Lead on the design, development and implementation of frameworks, materials and approaches that support co-production within the Connecting our City project including the development of a welcome pack/readiness document to support people to be involved;
- Lead on the development and implementation of a range of mechanisms by which people with lived experience and their families/carers can be involved within the Connecting our City Project including one-to-one meetings, attending existing groups and supporting people to attend wider networks;
- To develop, motivate and maintain key relationships with people with lived experience and their carers as part of the Connecting our City project
- To act as a champion and advocate for the voice of people with lived experience and carers within key strategic partnership meetings, providing constructive challenge where needed;
- To contribute to the development of a process for people with lived experience and carers to be remunerated for their time where appropriate and funds are available.
- To work closely with colleagues within North Yorkshire and within the TEWV involvement team to ensure consistency of approach and opportunity across the sub-region;
- Ensure two -way communication between people with lived experience and carers and key partnership groups and statutory sector partners;
- To develop, motivate and maintain key relationships across multiple York stakeholders and communities, championing and emulating co-production and strength based approaches;
- To create a positive and constructive culture across all parties involved in co-production activities by promoting respect and kindness between individuals;
- Work in continuous collaboration across the wider system to shape a culture where co-production underpins service improvement and innovation;
- Provide regular monitoring reports and information, including analysis and advice;
- Maintain personal and professional development relevant to the changing demands of the role;
- Such other duties at a comparable level of responsibility as determined by the Chief Executive.
