Dog Walker

We're on the lookout for an experienced dog walker to join our team, on a fixed-term 6 month contract, bringing a wealth of experience in handling dogs of various breeds and sizes.

**6 month contract: August 2025-February 2026**

The dog walker must also be willing to conduct occasional pet sittings when requested.

This role would suit an individual who has plenty of free time, enjoys the outdoors, and can be flexible with their time.

The walker would be supporting the team by helping with a selection of dogs per day (Monday-Friday), floating across our operating areas.

**OUR OPERATING AREAS**:
Camden, Islington, Finsbury Park, Hampstead, Notting Hill, Chiswick, Hammersmith, Regents Park, Tufnell Park, Paddington, Walthamstow.

**YOUR MAIN AREA**:
**Chiswick, Hammersmith, Notting Hill, Paddington.**

As we work to accommodate our client's schedule, our ideal dog walker would need to be available and consistent each week to work Monday-Friday (5 days a week) between 7am-4pm, and occasional weekends, evenings, and overnights - to cover pet sitting requests and ad-hoc walks.

Depending on the bookings for dog walking, you will be expected to work 1-15 hours a week across Monday-Friday.

The role involves to pick up dogs on foot, and if required, to walk multiple dogs (1-4 dogs) on each walk for a duration of 1-3 hours at a time.

Being a dog walker is incredibly rewarding, a lot of fun, and certainly not your average 9-5 job. However it requires dedication, a positive and consistent attitude, alongside having excellent customer service and communication skills.

You must have dog handling experience and excellent problem-solving skills when working with animals. You would also be expected to communicate with the owners to build a professional relationship.

**DOG WALKING**

Hours: 1-15 a week (varied)

Days: Monday-Friday

Pay: £13 per hour/walk

Paid: Monthly via invoice

**PET SITTING**

To stay at the client’s house

Paid: £40 a day/night

**YOU MUST**:

- Be available every Monday-Friday (5 days a week)
- Be aged over 21
- Be DBS checked
- Be physically fit
- Be self-employed
- Not be a student
- Have dog handling experience
- Commit to a fixed term minimum 6 month contract
- iPhone user with sufficient data (to use our app)
- Non-smoker
- Be confident to walk dogs on/off the lead
- Be experienced with various sized dogs, and have an understanding of dogs and their behaviour
- Enjoy outdoor walks, in all weather conditions

**LEGAL AND COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS**:

- Proof of identity and right to work in the UK
- DBS check
- Public liability insurance

**To qualify for the position, you need to successfully complete a 1-month trial, paid £13 per hour.**

**Trial Assessment**:

- Independently walk up to 3 dogs at once, both on and off lead.
- Walk 1-3 hours in one setting
- Manage dogs’ behaviour and interactions.
- Wash and clean dogs post-walk.
- Feed and provide care as needed.
