**TRANSPORT TEAM LEADER - PM SHIFT**

**WEST THURROCK RM20 3AX**

**SALARY £28K-£34K depending upon experience**

We are a highly successful, family-owned premium wine distributor, representing award winning iconic wines from all over the world. Over the past 5 years, we have seen significant growth due to the success and talent of our teams and we now have a newly created Transport Team Leader (PM shift) to fill.

Due to the importance of this role it is critical that the postholder can demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, be reactive, not proactive and is solution driven. You will have excellent communication skills and a passion for transport/logistics and know what excellent customer service looks like.

**BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE**
- You will ensure that resource planning, training for new starters and 1-2-1’s are managed efficiently and effectively.
- You will undertake daily driver debriefings at the end of the day with accurate record keeping and detailed handover notes for the Transport Team Leader a.m. shift.
- Other tasks including a continuous review of policies and procedures, suggestion changes and working to implement them if appropriate.
- You will enforce and maintain the very high standards that are expected in order to deliver exceptional customer service.
- You will find solutions to problems quickly and cost efficiently and ensure that all stock matters are handled accurately and in good time.

**KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL**
- Ability to follow processes, using your strong organisational skills and leadership qualities.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills (written and spoken).
- Good IT skills, including Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, route and delivery software.
- Fleet management experience with a good geographical knowledge of Greater London.
- Understanding of H&S requirements and risks in a transport / operational environment.
- Calm under pressure with the ability to diffuse difficult situations.
- Gravitas to engage customers and senior management.
- A keen problem solver.
- Driving licence (max 6 points).
- Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR.

**Working pattern**:
Monday to Friday 11:00 to 20:00 with a one hour break each day

Some overtime may be necessary in order to fulfil the requirements of the role. You will also be required to cover the AM shift when necessary (i.e. to cover annual leave)

It may be necessary to work Bank Holidays on a rota basis and this is reimbursed in pay or time off in lieu.

**The offer**:
**£28,000 - £34,000 per annum**

25 days annual leave, in addition to public holidays, though these will be worked on a rota basis.
