An opportunity has arisen for a Behavioural Intervention Assistant to join our growing supported living company on a permanent basis.

We have fully adapted and wheelchair-accessible units where we support vulnerable adults with learning and physical disabilities in all aspects of their lives.

This role will be mainly field based and working from home. The successful applicant will be required to undertake frequent travel to all units in Buckinghamshire, Enfield, Barnet, Croydon, Sidcup, Bexley and Gillingham. A full UK driving license is essential for this role._**

**Overall purpose of the role.**
- To work within a Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) framework under the guidance of the Behavioural Intervention Specialist and the wider MDT:

- To support the Behavioural Intervention Specialist to implement, model and help develop behavioural support interventions that increase service users' quality of life and decrease behaviours of concern.
- To support the staffing team to understand what PBS involves and to develop their skills by identifying staff development and training needs.
- To support the Behavioural Intervention Specialist to conduct functional assessments on service user's quality of life and behaviours of concern, through direct and indirect observations and other data.
- To support the Behaviour Intervention Specialist in the implementation of a PBS plan and other associated documents
- Keep accurate clinical notes and pass all relevant information to the MDT and Service Managers.
- To Behavioural Intervention Specialist in collecting and analysing incident reporting data

- Implement strategies to create a capable environment for the wellbeing of the individual Service Users.
- Contribute to reports and maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing.

- Demonstrable experience in a similar role
- Good knowledge of CQC regulations and requirements
- Technical knowledge and skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Identify and challenge inappropriate or unacceptable behaviours
- Keep promises and honour commitments, giving a reliable service
- Be patient and even tempered
- Ability to model appropriate skills to others
