The team You’ll be joining an award-winning team* of recruiters based across the UK, who are part of the firm’s People directorate.

The recruitment and talent attraction team look after the entire recruitment life cycle for the firm, managing all levels of hiring for legal advisors, partners, business support and our early careers programmes.

Specifically, you’ll be a part of the graduate recruitment team focusing on the recruitment of the firm’s graduates onto the trainee solicitor programme.

As the recruitment advisor within the graduate recruitment team, you're at the heart of the firm's business operations and activities that keeps the team moving forward. You'll be part of a team of three, including one manager and a senior recruitment advisor.Whilst you'll have a specific area of focus (assessment & recruitment of trainee solicitors), you'll still be heavily involved in the full programme (made up of three core areas: attraction, recruitment & development).

The role The main objective of your role will be to provide support and guidance internally and externally, with the aim of selecting and recruiting high quality graduate talent across the firm.

You anticipate the needs of the business and stay focused on projects by resolving operational issues before they arise. In addition to being organised and analytical, you possess the strong business judgment and communication skills needed to interact witha variety of people and job functions.

Main responsibilities
- Manage relationships with external assessment tool providers (including Apply4Law and Cappfinity)
- Assisting with key diversity initiatives, including liaising with the Inclusion team
- Maintain smooth running of the assessment centres with support from full team
- Overseeing the process for sourcing appropriate vacation placement departments
- Assisting line manager with gathering and presenting recruitment statistics
- Develop and manage engaging content for the team’s digital media presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and Instagram. Promote the firm's values throughout these channels
- To liaise with manager & wider teams regarding recruitment numbers
- Organise logistics for a variety of events internally and off-site, such as lunch & learn sessions for internal applicants (currently mostly virtual)
- Manage some budget for trainee recruitment
- Take a key role in attraction events such as insight events, placements and assessment centres.
- Manage and schedule calendars for multiple people; coordinating team meetings/group events; processing expense reports; booking meeting rooms, maintaining websites for the team to include information such as key contacts, schedules, teams and projects
- Create workshop materials to support the recruitment of trainee solicitors
- Attend events to learn and share knowledge about the firm and careers programmes, such as ISE
- Actively work with supervisors and team leaders to ensure they are fully aware of the early careers strategy and their role in delivering that strategy
- Proactively support supervisors with any trainee issues
- Proactively monitor regulatory developments including the introduction of the Solicitors Qualification Examination (SQE)
