As an experienced Nurse from the NHS or private care, you'll join the team at Pinhoe View as a Practice Nurse working 37.5 hours per week (12.5 hour shifts) as you change lives for the better.

What you will be doing

As a Practice Nurse, you will support people with mental health conditions and/or personality disorders to build a brighter future, while also supporting your colleagues and promoting good teamwork. You will provide a programme on health promotion activityand provide training and guidance to the junior members of the team.

Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will lead in developing best practices and provide clinical advice on people's physical health-related concerns. This will see you establish and implement an annual physical and full medical screening for serviceusers, which will include taking bloods, providing risk assessments and meeting the mandatory testing requirements for prescribed medication.

You will support and encourage service users to maintain and develop their physical health through guidance and empowering recovery.

To be successful as a Practice Nurse, you'll need

RGN experience
Evidence of clinical practice development

Join the team at Pinhoe View - a new purpose-built facility where a range of mental health services are provided for adults with acute mental health conditions across two wards and eight individual flats.

The 24-hour acute inpatient service is supported by a full multidisciplinary team, which specialises in the assessment, treatment and stabilisation of people suffering from a significant mental health episode and in crisis.

Clinical and therapeutic services at Pinhoe View are delivered in a safe environment, providing the opportunity for recovery, while rehabilitation services provide a pathway of care supporting individuals back to their community.

This service operates 24/7 you will work shifts including days, nights, weekends and bank holidays.
